This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intern will directly assist with research involving clinical cohorts, specifically neurosurgical patients. This role provides hands-on experience in clinical data collection, patient coordination, and neuroimaging workflows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time Commitment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because we invest significant time in training our interns on clinical protocols and neuroimaging we require a <strong>minimum commitment of 1 year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> 2 to 3 days per week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule Flexibility:<\/strong> The specific days are not fixed and will vary depending on patient availability, surgical schedules, and lab needs. Applicants must have a degree of flexibility in their weekly schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Subject coordination:<\/strong> Assist in scheduling and guiding surgical patients (and healthy control subjects) through research protocols, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Collection:<\/strong> Assist data collection during MRI scanning sessions with clinical populations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Management:<\/strong> Organize and securely maintain sensitive clinical and neuroimaging data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Analysis:<\/strong> Analysis of neuroimaging data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology, Computer Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields) or recent graduates from related fields interested in gaining research experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong sense of empathy and professionalism for working with surgical patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in English is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Offer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Gain practical, hands-on training in clinical data collection and fMRI analysis within an active lab environment.
