About the Speaker: Dr. Kader Karlı Oğuz is the senior faculty of the Section of Neuroradiology at Hacettepe University. She is also affiliated with National Magnetic Resonance Research Center (UMRAM) at Bilkent University. Dr. Karlı Oğuz completed her medical training and radiology residency at Hacettepe University and her research fellowship on functional MRI and advanced MR imaging techniques at Johns Hopkins University in 2001. Back in Turkey, she led MRI studies on epilepsy, demyelinating diseases, and dementia. She became an Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2011, has European Diplomas of Diagnostic (EDiNR) and pediatric neuroradiology (EDiPNR). Working at Hacettepe University with specialized hospitals on Pediatrics, Oncology, and Adults, she has great experience in pediatric neurology, neuro-oncology cases as well. She is currently an executive board member of the Turkish Neuroradiology Society (TSNR) and head of the Turkish Pediatric Neuroradiology Group, which is a subcommittee of TSNR. She is a committee member of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR) and head of Neuroradiology Study Group in the Turkish Society of Radiology. She has organized meetings and courses on Neuroradiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology. She has participated in national and international projects on imaging of epilepsy, autoimmune diseases, neurodegenerative and inherited metabolic diseases, and brain tumors as a principal investigator or researcher. Being an active member of radiology and neurology societies, she is also an author of over 200 articles published in SCI/SCI-E journals and over 20 book chapters focused on neuroimaging.
